WG-IMS (Working Group on Intelligent Manufacturing Systems) was an ESPRIT Working Group with 4 “clusters” and supported by EC. Our group was involved in the “Multi-Agent Systems for Resource Allocation” cluster. This project was developed between February/1997 and September/2000 and the main contractor was the Leuven University, involved companies like Daimler-Benz, ABB, BICC, Alcatel-Finco, Unilever, AMT and Alfamicro. Our group was responsible for organizing the second Workshop of this Working Group in 1997.

Carlos Ramos was the project leader for the GECAD-ISEP/IPP participation in the project and the total budget was € 20000.
