PAAMS'17 Special Sessions will be a very useful tool in order to complement the regular program with new or emerging topics of particular interest in the field of Artificial Intelligence. Special Sessions that emphasize on multi-disciplinary and transversal aspects, as well as cutting-edge topics are especially encouraged and welcome.
All papers accepted for publication in the Special Sessions will be published in the PAAMS 2017 proceedings published by Springer in the Advances in Intelligent and Soft Computing series and one of the special session organizers will be invited to co-edit the PAAMS 2017 Special Sessions’ proceedings.
At least one of the authors will be required to register and attend the symposium to present the paper in order to include the paper in the conference proceedings.
Prospective organizers of special sessions should submit proposals indicating:
· Title of the proposed session.
· Short biography of the organizer(s), with complete address for contact.
· List of tentative papers (including titles, authors, and contact information of the corresponding author/s).
Proposals are due before October 23th, 2016 and should be submitted by e-mail, without specific format to the responsible people (see below for detailed affiliation).
info@paams.net
Before submitting your proposal, please take a look to the PAAMS 2017 accepted workshops (http://paams.net/workshops) to try to prevent content overlap.
Special session organizers should also contact a sufficient number of experts who are able to review the papers submitted to their session, bearing in mind that at least two reviews per paper are required in order to make the final assessment. The organizer of the special session may be one of these experts, or he may to propose an alternative referee.
Special Sessions proposals will be evaluated based on the timeliness of the topic, the qualifications of the organizers and the authors of the papers proposed in the sessions, and the balance of the topics across the technical areas represented in Artificial Intelligence.
Notification of acceptance will be sent to the organizers by October 26th, 2016.
The procedure for the submission of the final papers is the same for all contributions, and it will be made through the PAAMS 2017 web section. The authors are asked to indicate the Special Session title to which their paper is submitted.
PAAMS intends to bring together researchers and developers from industry and the academic world to report on the latest scientific and technical advances on the application of multi-agent systems, to discuss and debate the major issues, and to showcase the latest systems using agent based technology. It will promote a forum for discussion on how agent-based techniques, methods, and tools help system designers to accomplish the mapping between available agent technology and application needs. Other stakeholders should be rewarded with a better understanding of the potential and challenges of the agent-oriented approach.
